Paul-Michael Knight:
I enjoy helping businesses and non-profits to understand digital media and Internet advertising.
Many traditional media companies (TV, Radio, Print) would like you to believe they know more about the Internet than you do. The truth is that big media hope to expand their excessive price strategies from existing brands to Internet platforms. Fortunately, the Internet provides a more level playing field for all businesses, and it limits large media organizations from leveraging their weight and influence. This is where I can help you take advantage of the new media dynamics. With the right know-how it is a buyer's market.
With more than 14 years of Internet advertising and marketing experience, I have worked in leading roles for some of the largest media enterprises in the Western United States including Fisher Communications, Entercom Communications, The Seattle Times, and OregonLive.com.
Most recently, I was the Internet Sales Manager for Entercom-Portland with responsibility for digital advertising for six radio stations (KWJJ, KNRK, KFXX, KYCH, KRSK, KGON). In this role I developed pricing for all digital advertising products, including Web ads, streaming audio, and E-mail newsletters.
Prior to that, I was the Internet Manager for KATU TV (Channel 2), the ABC affiliate in Portland, OR. While there, I converted the Web advertising systems for Fisher Communications from hard-coded banner advertising to ad-server delivered and impression-based pricing.
Additionally, I had the unique experience of working for the two largest daily newspaper groups in the Northwest (Seattle Times and the Oregonian).
My personal and professional philosophy is that no one should be persuaded to buy any media that they do not need, cannot afford, or don't understand.
I am committed to de-mystifying digital media, and assisting my clients to get the maximum value for their advertising dollars.
